Nasihah (Advice): Sayyiduna Uthmaan (Radiyallahu Anhu) reports that the Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The best of you is he who learns the Qur’an and teaches it to others.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Q. I would like to know if wudhu is needed to scroll through da quraan which is downloaded on to the cell phone.

A. Wudhu is not a requirement to page or scroll through a copy of the Qur’an displayed on an electronic device on condition that you avoid placing your finger over the part of the screen where the text of the Qur’an is displayed.
